The general recording requirements for other documents are:

  • Documents should be original and notarized with a full notary acknowledgment.
  • Documents affecting real property (Deed, Mortgage, Notice of Commencement, etc.) must have the legal description of the property. Documents referencing a previously recorded document (Satisfaction, Release, Assignment, Modification, etc.) must include the Official Record Book and Page number of the original document.
  • Please provide a self-addressed stamped envelope so we can return the document to you after it is recorded.
  • Please make checks payable to: Clerk of Circuit Court and Comptroller
